The team at Studio EKB is led by Erin K Bartling, AIA.
Erin is a licensed architect with 17 years of experience in new construction, historic restoration, and adaptive reuse across a variety of locations, scales, and project types. Erin established Studio EKB in 2022 following 10 years at Selldorf Architects in New York City as an Associate and Project Manager. In 2024, Erin co-founded Lopergolo + Bartling Architects.
The majority of Erin's work has been on projects within and around historic and existing buildings to great aesthetic and technical success. These include single family residences in Marfa, TX, Martha’s Vineyard, and NYC, and most recently the adaptive reuse of a 9,000 square foot warehouse in Long Island City, Queens. She has lead sustainability efforts on several projects, most notably as Associate in charge of a 100,000 square foot winery in France targeting net zero carbon emissions and innovative uses of historic building methods.
Erin received a Bachelor of Architecture from Pratt Institute where she also studied in Rome, Italy. She has been a visiting critic and lecturer at Pratt Institute School of Architecture, City College Spitzer School of Architecture, and Syracuse University School of Architecture.
